Of The Seekers Charter

The Seeker Guild has a long tradition dating back to Silinary in Never Winter Nights, but it has become so much more now. Now the Seeker Guild covers more than one realm, with members traveling from one realm to another. Yet the members know that when they enter a new world, even if they do not know anyone there, they have brothers and sisters there ready to teach them and explain the ways and customs of that world. This is fare more than what we had in NWN, and thus things must change.

Motto

To Live for Good is to Die

In the name of Honor

Battle Cry

Seek and Destroy!!!

Guild Purpose:

The purpose is first and foremost to have as much fun as possible. If you are not enjoying yourself then you are not getting the point of EQ and this guild. To enjoy ourselves, we have set a goal of becoming the best that we can be in whatever we set our hands to. By joining together to overcome any obstacle we will accomplish the goals set before us. By joining together in fellowship we will become closer friends and allies.

  2. Asst. High Lord: Brings to the attention of the High Lord anything that the High Lord may not be aware of. Has the ability to accept or decline any recruit who wishes to become a Seeker.

Requirements to become a member Of The Seekers:

  1. Must not be a member of another guild
  2. Must fill out an application
  3. You must have a sponsor from the guild. The sponsor must be a Seeker who has been a Full Member in good standing for at least 60 days.  If you do not have a sponsor we may assign you one appropriate to your level.
  4. You must have known your sponsor at least 30 days. If you have a guild appointed sponsor, you will have a 30 day period with which to spend time with your sponsor so he can properly evaluate whether your playing style and attitude is comparable with the Seekers.
  5. Those selected to be a recruit will go through a 30 day recruitment period. Recruits have no loot rights unless authorized. Recruits will get no help on their Epic Weapon.
  6. After 30 days as a recruit, the Officers will decide whether to grant New Member Status. For 30 days New Members will have loot rights, but may not request raids for Epic Weapons or personal gain.
  7. After 30 days as a New Member in good standing you will be granted Full Member and have all rights therein. Full Members may then have Alternate Characters invited into the Seekers.

Guidelines for members Of The Seekers

Level Requirements

There is no set level requirement, however, the Seekers are increasingly becoming focused on the higher end game (50+). You may level at your own pace, but for those less than level 50, you may find that you may not be able to perform in a majority of the Seeker events. So that lower levels are not left out, most Seekers have alternate characters that are a lower level and raids may be set up to accommodate lower level Seekers and alternates.

Alternate Characters

Although we cannot prevent you from playing another character in EQ, we prefer that your Seeker or Recruit character be played at least twice as much as your others. Becoming a member of a guild means that your time should be spent in support of your brethren. Becoming a member of a guild means that you pledge an allegiance with them. This allegiance lasts until a formal resignation is submitted to a senior officer. Also, having a character online, which is not in the guild, can prove to be a downfall. The downfall comes from others whom you help, for they do not realize you are a member of the Guild of Seekers. How can potential new recruits realize the goodness of a guild when there are no representatives of it?

Guild Name

The guild name must show at all times. This means any Seeker may not go ANON at any time. Role-play is acceptable. Going ANON is grounds for dismissal.

Message Board

Keeping members informed will be one of our greatest assets. All members will be required to read the message boards and stay up-to-date on guild matters. Members are encouraged to post to the message boards often. The message boards can be reached here: http://p079.ezboard.com/bseekerkeep

Loot

If you join this guild with loot as your priority, you will be disappointed. We play the game for fun and loot comes as a by-product of all our hard work, not as the reason for our efforts. All loot will be rolled on by the appropriate classes that are in attendance at the event. If an item drops that no one can use and it is not No-Drop, the item will be turned over to the Guild Vault for future use or to be sold for Guild Money.

Problems with other members

If you have a problem with another member you must talk with an officer about it. If you say nothing, we can resolve nothing. If your problem is with another officer, then you can talk to a different officer about it. The problem will be addressed and taken care of. Never take problems into Guild Chat. Always use Tells when addressing problems.

Resignation

You may resign from the Seekers at any time. If you resign, we would appreciate it if you would talk with an officer and explain the reason for leaving. If you resign and later decide you would like to become a Seeker once again you will have to go through the full recruitment procedure. This does not guarantee that you will be let back in. .
